Todays 2010 picture was of a bowl of smarties in the snow. So I thought I would share the others in the series with you. The chosen picture can be found here.

Went over to the park today to give LCJ a run around and a quick whizz on the toboggan before the snow disappears. Here are a few shots from today..

Here we are out in the snow today
Well its almost here in the UK although it has already moved into Xmas down under
Someone has taken over our lounge and now we have little or no carpet….

But its OK as we have sounds while we work…

And of course a bottle or two

Merry Xmas everyone
This lunchtime took LCJ outside to play with the snow
As you can see the pile of leaves was just as interesting as the snow…
Started snowing today at 1.30pm in Reading so decided to head home just in case. This was after reaching the gym this morning with a barmy temperature of -5c
but as there was no wind it didn’t feel that cold. Back to the snow as you can see the A329M was clear but slushy and with snow coming down..

Once home I watched the snow to continue to fall and fall. We decided that we should go get the little boy early, but we both had calls to finish. So at just after 4.30pm we headed out deciding not to drive as the roads were not looking good and as we live on a hill it was not a wise idea.
The walk was slippery and as we walked up the hill we saw a car doing about 2mph still slipping down the hill. We reached the nursery only to find that they were still at the hall where they went to see father christmas. We headed over to the hall and the high street was chocker with cars everywhere trying to negotiate the junction and parked car with little or no grip
The walk back was interesting with the pushchair exhibiting the same characteristics as the car slipping and sliding all over the place, but LCJ enjoyed the adventure… Let see if we have an ice rink tomorrow..
Snowing last night which left around 3inches on the ground this morning, here is a bad shot from my iPhone at 6am

Garden this morning
Headed into the office at about 7.30am this morning to find the side roads were very slippery and some of the main roads were icy to say the least. Journey was going fine until I hit the A329 just before it turns into the A329M at Binfield. The traffic was stacked and I didn’t like the look of it. I jumped off at the Binfield junction and headed back home.
I have warned a colleague that there was trouble on the A329M, but they go the message as they were trying to join from the M4. Apparently the road hadn’t been gritted hence the traffic and people were falling off the road. So my journey was about 8-10miles in total and took about 1hr 15mins…
Got loads done this morning once my laptop had decided to boot properly.
This is what it looks like now down our road…

Afternoon view
More snow and ice to come according to the forecast, temp down to -4c this evening…
So we had a light sprinkling of snow overnight and this morning. Well OK I live in the SE of England and shall we say overnight it was about 5inches worth and more has arrived during today. Good job we had that lovely walk around Windsor Great Park in the sun with the bitter wind.
Took Cameron outside this morning to play in the snow and he loved it see below.

Cameron in the Snow
I could only find a waterproof jacket for a 3 year old so sleeves rolled up and normal shoes as I left his wellies round nanna’s house. Look the snow is deep..

Where are my legs?
