Todays 2010 picture was of a bowl of smarties in the snow. So I thought I would share the others in the series with you. The chosen picture can be found here.

For anyone that does not know what smarties are see here http://www.smarties.co.uk/home/
Here are some more photos I took today of the snow, ice and LCJ
Damn cold this morning car showed -7c after only driving 150 yards having started to -3.5c.

After leaving the gym I took a few snaps of the frosty trees.

I am so glad it had warmed up when I left work reaching the barmy -3c
It has finally come around again, it only seems like 365days ago we were starting 2009
Today was a glorious day weather wise, but alas decided to stay in and do stuff around the house including more tidying and sorting of christmas stuff. Again it was amazing to see how much cardboard, paper and plastic had been amassed with all those pressies. It was good to review all the fab items received and I hope everyone enjoyed theirs from the three of us.
I was looking through the guide that came with my gourmet club membership and wondered how I balance that with my new years resolution of eating less
There are certainly plenty of offers to keep us busy over the next year and looking forward to some great food.
For my other resolutions as already tweeted I shall be looking to try and do three 10K runs this year and take one photo everyday during 2010. I have set my site up ready for this activity at www.scouller.biz and now have selected my first photo which you can review on the site. But as we didn’t go out today it was a case of thinking about was could be used to capture New Years day 2010 so here are a few of the other shots that I took today.

Here was some pork & nutmeg sausages with the odd bottle of wine

This is a reflection of a tree on my cars frozen bonnet

Started snowing today at 1.30pm in Reading so decided to head home just in case. This was after reaching the gym this morning with a barmy temperature of -5c
but as there was no wind it didn’t feel that cold. Back to the snow as you can see the A329M was clear but slushy and with snow coming down..

Once home I watched the snow to continue to fall and fall. We decided that we should go get the little boy early, but we both had calls to finish. So at just after 4.30pm we headed out deciding not to drive as the roads were not looking good and as we live on a hill it was not a wise idea.
The walk was slippery and as we walked up the hill we saw a car doing about 2mph still slipping down the hill. We reached the nursery only to find that they were still at the hall where they went to see father christmas. We headed over to the hall and the high street was chocker with cars everywhere trying to negotiate the junction and parked car with little or no grip
The walk back was interesting with the pushchair exhibiting the same characteristics as the car slipping and sliding all over the place, but LCJ enjoyed the adventure… Let see if we have an ice rink tomorrow..
